Powerball - New Zealand Lottery Online
To participate in Lotto, you select six numbers (ranging from 1 to 40) to create a line on your ticket. A minimum of four lines is required to enter a draw. You can either choose your own numbers or opt for a Dip, where our system randomly generates numbers for you. During each live Lotto draw, six winning numbers and one bonus ball are selected. Lotto features seven prize divisions, with Division 1 being the highest prize. To claim a Division 1 win, all six winning numbers on a single line of your ticket must match. Division 7, he easiest to win, requires matching any three of the winning numbers on a single line.

FAQ

How are the Lotto draws conducted?
The Lotto draws are conducted at the TVNZ studios in central Auckland. Independent scrutineers from Audit New Zealand, and our own staff set up the studio and check that all the necessary equipment, processes and procedures are in place and working smoothly. A technical rehearsal is conducted using a set of dummy balls that have no numbers on them, and a dress rehearsal is conducted next, using numbered balls.
The Audit NZ scrutineers are present and watching all the time.
